Since starting the Inisheer Zibaldone, JesseJames have developed the Zibaldone project.
In 2018, JesseJames were invited by the Galway Heritage Officer Marie Mannion to create the Loughrea Zibaldone as part of the Loughrea Medieval Festival.
Together with four other artists from Spain and Hungary, JesseJames set about capturing a sense of people, place and culture based on our experiences of Loughrea over the festival weekend. All of the artists pages were bound into the Loughrea Zibaldone notebook which was presented to the Hungarian ambassador’s aide at the 2019 Loughrea Medieval Festival. The Zibaldone is currently exhibited at the Loughrea Municipal Library.
JesseJames are currently creating the Firhouse Zibaldone, an exploration of their town land in South County Dublin and how it relates, or doesn’t, to Inis Oírr, their experience of the smallest Aran Isalnd during their artist’s residency and the Inisheer Zibaldone.
