For those of you who have been to Féile na gCloch (Festival of Stone) on Inis Oírr, you may have taken part in the wonderful sketching workshops that take place as part of the festival. With this years festival going online, The Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland as got together with the festival to run a sketching campaign and if that wasn’t enough excitement will be giving away some spot prizes too.

So where ever you are in the world and what ever age you are, we encourage everyone to get creative and get involved. Draw, Paint, Doodle your local dry stone wall or check out some of the pictures from around Inis Oírr (the home of Féile na gCloch) below for inspiration.

Share your drawings with us! We want to encourage you to explore all the different possibilities of drawing from the comfort of your home or garden. Drawing and painting dry stone walls is a fun activity for all ages.

To have your art included in our campaign and be in with a chance of winning some prizes, make sure you post you photos or videos online using the hashtags #FeilenagCloch #DRAWstonewalls #drystonewalling or email your creations to  and we will post all your creations here and on social media.   For our young artists, be sure to get an adult to help with entering the competition and to include your name and age.
